Music: Vishal Shekhar
Editor: Akiv Ali
Producer: Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Ronnie Screwvala
Director: Punit Malhotra
Story: Jay Dhingra (Imran Khan) is an aaj ka chokra. He changes up his nasal area at anything that slightly appears like soppy sentimentality, even though he performs as an associate to a film manufacturer (Samir Soni) who peddles the most unlikely mush on display.
Enter, the new art film director, Simran Sharma (Sonam Kapoor) who consumes, rests and is intoxicated heady on ishq-vishq and all that goes with it. A devoted loving, she even has an ideal partner known as Raj (Samir Dattani) who presents her a white-colored chrysanthemum, everytime he satisfies her. But will the breathtaking white-colored blossoms ranking over Jay’s insane red blossoms, and crazier ways? Keep wondering….
Movie Review: First factors first. Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor create an exciting couple. After the Ranbir Kapoor and Hurricane katrina anniversary passes Kaif combining, this seems to be the most relaxing jodi that’s jaunting and jiving on display. Awesome chemical create up. Awesome tu-tu-main-main (sparring). Awesome actual interface. And a well-balanced psychological quotient. Cheers to the two of them to bring forth a film which once again doesn’t really have anything to feature about in the `storys’ division.
Thematically, I Dislike Luv Storys, is incredibly simple, uni-layered and really foreseeable. Imran and Sonam do start on the we-hate-each-other observe, with Imran squirming at any and everything that’s filmy while Sonam cusses by it all: mild red teddys, bundles of blossoms, candle-light meals, Karan Johar movies, lovable Cupid’s bows, capturing celebrities, soppy dialogues and all that made-for-each-other mush. But we all know the way the breeze strikes, from the phrase go. Mush shall concept, and how! For all the digs that manufacturer Karan Johar allows on himself (filmmaker Samir Soni is actually a spoof on KJo), we know the film’s going to end up repeating KJo — and all he results in on-screen — as master.
So, Jay Dhingra, who prefers ladies, but dislikes feminine factors, is going to end up weeping like a lady very soon. Of course, first he must create fun of Simran for all her `stoopid’ misunderstandings about lurrrv, such as her partner Raj who besides being a frumpish carried, would wear `fugly’ tops too. But it doesn’t take lengthy for the platforms to be converted, twice over. On the one side, Simran finds her penchant for Mr Incorrect (quirky, irreverent Imran), rather than Mr Right (politically appropriate Samir). And however, sceptic Imran succumbs to the really like bug, red blossoms, rain-drenched songs, terminal activities, et all. Only, their turn-overs are mistimed. So that, when Simran says `haan’, jokey Jay says `nah!’ and when Jay want to say `yes, yes, yes!’, it’s a punctilious let’s-be-just-friends from the sobered Simran.
Kya khali-peeli misunderstandings, all this babalog blah. But hey, blah can be timepass too. Exclusively when it has lots of frosting on it. Debutant film director Punit Malhotra levels his first film with lots of glucose coating: excellent places, mast songs (Vishal-Shekhar), a delicious ‘n yuppy cause couple, some laugh-out-loud minutes and a lot of laugh-on-ourself series that create fun of the romcoms that move out of the Bollywood manufacturer (there are jibes on almost all of Karan Johar films), only to lastly repeat them as tablets the community wants. On the performance front side, observe out for Imran’s limitless emoticons (eyebrow raises, smirks, smileys) and his noticeable pout. And for Sonam’s thin type and enjoyable display existence.
Candy get flossing glides. Snacks guidelines. Go, eat on it.
